I2C and TX/RX at the same PIC
PostPosted: Thu Oct 08, 2009 10:41 am     Reply with quote

The pic that I will be using is PIC16F877A. I want to use TX/RX pin and I2C pins for different operations. Can it be? Does it affect PIC performance?
TX/RX for computer communication.

DS1302 uses 3-wire SPI. It doesn't use i2c. Read the data sheet.

Look at this CCS example file for the DS1302. It uses rs-232 to send
data to the PC.
